The TechAwards, also known as the Technology Innovation Awards, provide the Government’s Economic Development Department with the annual opportunity to celebrate innovative and solutions-driven Bermuda-based companies, organizations, and individuals who are doing outstanding things in the technology field.
TECH AWARDS
Aims to reward excellence and support Bermuda's Innovators through the recognition of their outstanding achievements within Bermuda's information technology industry!
NOMINATIONS
Every year, the community is invited to submit nominations of what the public believes to be the best technology solutions, practices and education processes in Bermuda today.
CATEGORIES
Nominations are sought for four specific categories

Innovation of the Year - International Market,
-
Innovation of the Year - Local Market,
-
Mobile Application of the Year, and
-
Most Innovative Youth Project or Youth Programme
-
Innovative Trailblazer Award
TIMELINE
The Nominating process will run on www.techawards.bm
o Nomination Launch: July 14, 2023
o Nomination Deadline: September 30, 2023
o Judging: TBD
o Reception: November 16, 2023
Nominees will be notified of the place of finish following the judging.
HOW TO PLACE YOUR NOMINATIONS
Select the category for which you are nominating your candidate. Fill in all the boxes next to each question and click SUBMIT. All nominations will be acknowledged by an email to the entity submitting the nomination.
All TechAward Nominations must be made through the TechAwards website www.techawards.bm. The TechAwards Committee does not accept entries received by mail or by other means. No member of the TechAwards Committee, nor anyone associated with the committee, or contracted by the committee, may be held responsible for incomplete entries, technical difficulties, or entries that are not received by the deadline posted on the TechAwards Website.
All entries are screened by the TechAwards Committee to assure they meet all qualifications of the criteria. Once approved they are passed on to the Judge's Panel.
JUDGING CRITERIA
The judges will be looking for four factors:

is it a new concept in the marketplace,
-
does it have an innovative design or innovative use of technology,
-
what is the level of sophistication, does it have the "wow factor", and finally
-
does it have a significant Bermuda factor?
Most Innovative Trailblazer Award Criteria
A Bermuda-based company that is:
-
using new technologies to conduct international business,
-
actively participating in the Bermuda marketplace, and
-
using the island as a test-bed for further development.
